Welcome to the third post in the AI Nine O Series, where we present easy-to-digest AI concepts in ninety seconds.
Let’s Explore How Artificial Intelligence (AI) transforms society across healthcare, transportation, and customer services.
Quick Links
AI in Healthcare: Revolutionising Patient Care
AI is changing the landscape of the healthcare sector by improving diagnoses,
automating activities, and creating tailored treatments (Singh et al., 2024). AI tools find diseases at an initial stage, such as imaging systems tracing some form of tumour. Robotic surgeries are more effective due to minimising human error.
AI in Transportation: Enhancing Mobility and Safety
AI is changing transportation in terms of safety, efficiency, and availability. While
autonomous vehicles eliminate human fallacies, AI-enhanced traffic management and
predictive maintenance expand the capabilities of transportation systems (Arxiv, 2024). AI also provides arrival predictions for public transport services, alleviates congestion, and decreases emissions, thereby aiding in creating greener urban areas.
AI improves transportation systems by reducing traffic congestion using algorithms and automating and streamlining processes, increasing efficiency in urban mobility. It asserts that AI has distinguished characteristics of great importance.
AI in Customer Service: Transforming the Consumer Experience
AI has accelerated the speed of responses and made them more personal. Chatbots can
deal with the simplest questions. As more issues are addressed, AI-powered technologies improve interactions. It has stressed the practical utilisation of AI, whereby consumers state that such applications make it easier to approach businesses since there is no separation between man and the programs offered through AI.
Taking action in these critical areas enabled by AI technology will bring about a societal
revolution, providing new opportunities and presenting novel obstacles (McCausland, 2024). The advancement of AI technologies will change societies by making them more integrated, efficient, and inclusive.
